Pengaruh persekitaran mempengaruhi diet anda

Tahukah anda bahawa diet, pengaruh persekitaran dan amount yang anda makan boleh mempengaruhi berat badan? Jika anda risau dengan berat badan anda sekarang dan hendak menguruskan badan, anda perlu observe your diet dari sekarang.

Let me share my eating schedule before this. This was weekday routine when I worked in Japan.

  • Β Breakfast(7-8am): roti atau ‘onigiri'(nasi kepal Jepun) with chocolate drink.
  • Small break(10am for 10 minutes): just chit chat with colleagues sambil minum dark coffee secawan.
  • Lunch hour(12-1pm): makan washoku(one set of nasi dan lauk style Jepun) atau udon set(Japanese noodles). Of course green tea as a drink. Semestinya Japanese meal diet sangat healthy jika dibandingkan dengan Malaysian foods.
  • Small break(3pm for 10 minutes): just chit chat with colleagues sambil minum dark coffee secawan.
  • Dinner(7-8pm): takde proper dinner. Just eating cakes, onigiri(nasi kepal Jepun), bread, kuih pau Jepun or instant noodles(ikut mood). If extra rajin, buat fried noodles.

I had only weekend to cook ‘proper meals’ tapi memang tak rajin masak untuk seorang. Jika ada yang ‘tolong makan’, that’s different story.πŸ™‚ During this period, my weight was around 49-50kg.

Kemudian, Feeza bekerja di Malaysia. Weekday routine lebih kurang sama tapi perhatikan eating pattern di bawah:

  • Β Breakfast(7-8am): kuih atau roti.
  • Small break(10am for 15 minutes): makan mee bandung, atau rojak atau mee soup dan sebagainya dengan teh tarik.
  • Lunch hour(12-1pm): makan nasi campur dengan 2-3 jenis lauk dan air kosong.
  • Small break(3pm for 15 minutes): makan kuih muih bersama kopi.
  • Dinner(7-8pm): makan mee atau masak sendiri(nasi dan lauk).

During weekend, Feeza ada extra time dan rajin memasak heavy meals. Al maklumlah, ‘lepas geram’ setelah berada di Jepun pada jangka masa yang ‘agak lama’.

Jika anda perhatikan eating schedule di atas, Feeza makan 3 kali sehari bila berada di Jepun tapi bila balik ke Malaysia, Feeza makan 5 kali sehari! Dalam 3-4 bulan saja Feeza gained weight sampai rakan sekerja tegur bontot dan paha nampak lebih besar berbanding awal2 masuk kerja. haha.. My weight was 52-53kg! That was ’embarassing moment’. Uniform kerja pun jadi sendat sedikit. :p

Environment memang memainkan peranan penting. Lebih2 lagi jika rakan sekerja anda jenis ‘kaki makan’. Kadang2, bila kita takmo makan, diajak dan dipujuk untuk ‘temankan’ dia makan. The thing is how strong you are to resist delicious foods in front of you? If you are a ‘weak person’, anda akan terpedaya dan makan sekali bersama2 rakan anda. Wooppss… Don’t blame your friends because you are the one who decides to eat, not her/him.

Kemudian, sewaktu berada di U.S, diet Feeza berlainan pula.

  • Breakfast(10-11am): Toasted bread with chocolate syrup or bagel with cappucino or latte.
  • Makan petang(4-5pm): Rice with lauk chicken.
  • Dinner(10-11pm): Rice with lauk chicken.

I know that my eating schedule was sort of ‘weird’ or abnormal when I was in the U.S. hehe.. But I lost weight dan dapat turun menjadi 49-50kg.πŸ˜‰

Selepas bekerja sendiri dan running primochic.com, Feeza merasakan Feeza mempunyai diet seharian yang lebih sihat. My daily routine now:

  • Brunch(11am-1pm): Fried rice or fried noodles with a mug of white coffee.
  • Minum petang(4-5pm): very seldom but if I eat, will eat kuih only.
  • Dinner(8-9pm): Satu senduk nasi with lauk chicken/fish and vegetables.

Bila makan heavy meals, Feeza pastikan makan small portion. As a result, Feeza dapat maintain berat badan antara 47-48kg(with 154cm height). Walaupun Feeza tengok orang lain makan, diri sendiri tak terasa nak makan sangat. I can resist those delicious foods when food is not the center of my attention. To be honest, this self discipline is not easy to achieve because I truly love snacks, chocolates, biscuits and desserts. In fact, I still enjoy eating snacks, chocolates, biscuits and desserts until now. I still dine at restaurant once in a while and eating whatever I want.

Apa yang Feeza achieve sekarang adalah result dari more than of 8 months practice after discovering this unique diet practice. Feeza akan bercerita lebih lanjut how to deal with weight issue in next entry. It’s not about eating in small portion only but more than that. Weight issue is ‘not that simple’ because it has relation with our minds. We need to aim ideal weight but the most important thing is we need a healthy body at any age.
